The Kennesaw State University Chapter of the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society
Tim Neja, Senior Director of Laboratory Operations, visited with SAACS of KSU today and gave a wonderful presentation about the research being done at Cryolife. Cryolife is a Kennesaw-based company that develops bio-surgical devices and processes tissues destined for transplantation. He demonstrated one of their most popular products, BioGlue, which is a strictly internal surgical adhesive. This hydrogel material is currently being used during such procedures as valve repair. If anyone present at the meeting did not receive his contact information, send SAACS an email to request it. Their website is http://www.cryolife.com and can only be viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Thanks to all those who attended this meeting.
