September 25th, 2006 in General MeetingsWe will be having our second meeting of the Fall 2006 semester on September 26, 2006 in SC 212 at 12:30pm. Dr. Sidhu of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will be our guest speaker. He will be speaking about possible career options offered at the CDC. We hope to see you all there!
Update: Dr. Sidhu mentioned some internship and research opportunities outside of the university setting. Although university research is important, other opportunities are offered by the CDC in areas such as public health training and a myriad other internships. In addition, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) offers a summer internship program in biomedical research as well as a scholarship program.
