Staying Active

When we stay active as a club, we can receive all sorts of benefits from ACS, including chapter awards as a recognition of our hard work. In terms of financial gain, we can receive:

• National Meeting Travel Grant - This grant can be used to cover registration fees, lodging, and/or transportation cost during national meetings. We could also qualify to present a chapter poster during the Successful Student Affiliates Chapter Poster presentation at ACS national meetings.
• Innovative Activities Grant (IAG) - This grant provides recognition for distinctive ideas and/or service.
• Community Interaction Student Affiliates Grant (CISA) - This grant provides support to minorities in our campus community.

We can also qualify for specialty conferences, the ACS Tour Speaker Service, and chapter-only contests (e.g. NCW contests).

If we incorporate green chemistry into our chapter activities, we can also qualify for “Green Chapter” status.
